🚨 Neighbourhood Alert: Considerate Parking Reminder 🚨

We are receiving an increasing number of reports regarding inconsiderate parking across the area. This includes vehicles being parked on pavements, blocking driveways, restricting access for emergency vehicles, or causing hazards at junctions and crossings.

We kindly ask all residents and visitors to park responsibly and think about the impact on others, including pedestrians, wheelchair users, parents with pushchairs, and emergency services.

✅ Please remember:

Do not park across dropped kerbs or driveways

Avoid parking on pavements where it obstructs others

Keep junctions and corners clear for visibility and safety

Ensure emergency vehicle access is not restricted

🚓 Enforcement & Council Action

Parking enforcement is primarily managed by the local council. Where vehicles are causing obstruction or are parked illegally:

Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs) may issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)

Persistent problem areas may be targeted with increased patrols

In serious cases (e.g. dangerous obstruction), police may take immediate action, including vehicle removal

We are working closely with the council to monitor reported locations and ensure appropriate enforcement takes place where necessary.

📩 Reporting Issues

If you experience ongoing parking problems:

Report non-emergency issues directly to the council parking team

For dangerous or obstructive parking posing an immediate risk, contact police via 101 (or 999 in emergencies)
